Beachside Ortona Neighborhood

The Ortona neighborhood is part of what makes Daytona Beach an interesting place to live. The neighborhood stretches from the Atlantic beach on the east to the Halifax River / Intracoastal Waterway on the west end.

Homes in Ortona include homes priced from $222,000 (April 15, 2018) to riverside and oceanfront estate homes upward toward $2,000,000. In between are some really nice older homes with wonderful charm that have been updated and are move-in ready. Click here to see all the Ortona Homes for Sale. It’s an amazing variety.

What’s Nearby?

To the north of the Ortona neighborhood is the Bellair Plaza with shopping and restaurants, including a Publix Supermarket. There’s also a Walgreens drug store. To the south, Ortona is not far from The Daytona Pier and Seabreeze Blvd. Here you’ll find restaurants and shops and even a movie theater. You will never lack for things to do living in this neighborhood.

What I really love about the beachside, is the breeze. It is always blowing and it cools everything down. Even in the summer, a jacket is often needed in the evening because of the cooling from the breeze. Now, it’s not going to feel very cool in the heat of the day, but it makes a difference in the morning and evening.

The Granada Bridge to the north in Ormond Beach and the Seabreeze Bridge to the south will get you to the mainland. Ortona is 15-20 minutes from I-95 and a few minutes more to I-4 and the attractions and shopping in Orlando.
