A World Away - Just Up the Road

Halifax Plantation has an Ormond Beach address, but it seems a world away. About a mile off the Old Dixie Highway exit of Interstate 95, it's away from any idea of city living, yet just a short drive away. Nature abounds in this large golf course community. Tennis, a club house with fitness center, restaurant and sports bar and pool are centrally located within the community. The golf course is a par 72, 7101 yard course (from the tips, 6215 frm the white tees, 4922 from the red tees) that meanders through the community and its green areas.

Homes in Halifax Plantation range from very nice attached three bedroom "Villa" homes to large estate homes. We owned one of the villa homes awhile ago before we needed more space. This is a large community but has a very nice feel to it. Many people ride their bikes and walk here. It is a lovely planned community, but it not gated.

We've eaten many good meals in the restaurant and the bar was upgraded several years ago to a nice sports bar. There is an outside eating area that looks out over the golf course.

The beach is a short drive away and oh what a great drive. Just get on Walter Boardman Lane to Highbridge Road and you will be to the beach in minutes. Check out a sample of scenery on the way:
