What a great place to live! The weather is amazing. We get the breeze coming off the cooler ocean water keeping everything cooler in the summer. The winter weather is what brought John Rockefeller and Henry Flagler here those many years ago.
Daytona beach homes are so varied, it's hard to describe to someone who is used to paying much more. Whatever your price range, it's going to be less expensive here than anywhere else in Florida.
Think of the Daytona Beach area as split into beachside and mainland. The Halifax River runs between the two areas. Most condos are on the beachside and many are on the ocean. There are also magnificent homes on both sides of the river. There are not alot of oceanfront homes in Daytona, but going south to Ponce Inlet or north to Ormond Beach opens up the possibilities.
We have some of the most beautiful beaches in Florida. Daytona is called "The World's Most Famous Beach". If you like sun and sand, our beaches are everything you could hope for.

Schools are good, colleges and universities are many and there's plenty to do for children and adults. The boardwalk has been rebuilt with Joe's Crab Shack and a new roller coaster on the way.

There are over 30 golf courses in the area. Most courses are public or semi-private, with only a few private courses. There are championship level courses at Pelican Bay and LPGA where the ladies Q-School is held. Many of these courses are located in golf course communities in Ormond, Port Orange, and Palm Coast as well as Daytona where you can live where you play. Daytona Beach golf course homes range from million dollar beauties to very affordable golf course villas and townhouses. But, wherever you are in the area, you're just minutes away from great golf.
Entertainment includes short drives to Disney, Universal Studios, Sea World and other Orlando area attractions, college sports from Embry-Riddle, DBCC, Bethune Cookman and nearby University of Florida Gators, recent national champions in football and basketball, and University of Central Florida Golden Knights. Stetson Univesity is in nearby Deland and sports a national power-house baseball program.
