Foreclosures and distressed properties are hot. Finding a bargain begins at Daytona Beach Foreclosures.
Finding the right Daytona Beach property can be very challenging. There are a lot of tools available on the internet, but in the end it's all about how much you like a home.
If you live in the Daytona Beach area then it's much easier because you already know the area and many of the neighborhoods. However, you may not know which areas increase in value or hold their value the best and this is an important factor in selecting your new home.
If you are from outside the area, you will need help. You can search at realtor.com, my site or anywhere else and you can get an idea about prices in different areas, but you cannot know enough about each area to make a good decision. You need local knowledge to protect yourself both to get the best deal and to assure you enjoy your new home or condo.
Daytona Beach Florida Homes for sale comes in all styles varieties and price ranges. Beachside Homes range in variety from 2 bedroom bungalows to multi-million dollar luxury oceanfront estates. Both can share the same beach as all beaches are public in the Daytona Area. There's also an impressive variety of mid-range homes including historical homes and many in the Victorian style. As of today (May 18, 2008) there are over 6200 homes and condos on the market in the Daytona Beach MLS, so there is almost too much to choose from without help.
The mainland and peninsula are separated by the Halifax River. As you can see in the map, Holly Hill , Port Orange and South Daytona are mainland communities, while Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach have both mainland and beachside areas. Daytona Beach Shores, Ormond by the Sea, Wilbur by the Sea and Ponce Inlet are beachside communities.
On the beachside peninsula there is a mix of homes and condos with a good number of beachfront and riverfront condos. In recent years, new luxury condo buildings have been built offering many beautiful upscale units. There is also a large number of affordable condo buildings across the road from the ocean in Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach and Ormond by the Sea. These units can be purchased from the low $100,000's.
Homes in the area range from homes under $100,000 to multi-million homes on the beach, on the river and in planned communities. Planned and gated communities are popular in the Daytona area. Pelican Bay, Indigo Lakes, Spruce Creek Fly-In, Plantation Bay, Tomoka Oaks, Cypress Head and Halifax Plantation are golf course communities. Crane Lakes is a manufactured home community with an executive style golf course. There are several other manufactured home communities in the area that offer attractive alternatives for many people.
Daytona Beach real estate for sale includes commercial and investment opportunities. There has been a tremendous amount of commercial property built in over the past 10 years including new hotels, manufacturing and a lot of retail space. There is still good commercial land available as well as resale buildings. Daytona Beach commercial real estate should continue to build, especially with the addition of two new hospitals and the continued growth in the area.
